Abstract and Poster Submission

The abstract submission of papers for oral or poster presentations is now open.

The abstracts and the completed submission form should be sent as an eMail attachment to pimabstracts2007@capemalta.net. For further information regarding the presentations, please contact the PIM Programme Committee on pimabstracts2007@capemalta.net.

The deadline for all abstracts is August 31st, 2007.

 

Modalities for abstract preparation

The length of abstracts should follow the categories listed below:

Invited speakers:
Plenary Lectures: An extended abstract up to 1,000 words (45 minute presentation)
Keynote Lectures: An extended abstract up to 1,000 words (45 minute presentations)
Panel Speakers: An abstract of up to 300 words (15 minute presentations)

Plenary, Keynote and Panel Speakers should also send a passport-sized colour photograph (preferred electronically), and a 200 word resume, for inclusion in the Conference Programme.

Contributed papers (oral and poster presentations): (15 minute presentations)
An abstract of up to 300 words. The Programme Committee has the final decision on whether papers will be presented orally or as a poster. The Programme Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts if necessary.

Acceptance of abstracts is tentative until registration fees are paid, and will lapse after the July 15th deadline has expired. Late submissions will be accepted only at the discretion of the PIM Conference Committee.

In all cases the format of the abstract has to be prepared upon the following guidelines and should include your name, affiliation and title. Please note that for joint presentations, the name of the presenter should be underlined.

Guidelines for Authors (Poster)

Please note the following with regard to your poster preparation:

  1. Posters should preferably be prepared on one sheet.  Posters will be adhered to boards with double-sided tape which will be provided.
  2. The size of your poster must not exceed 100 cm width x 150 cm height.
  3. Title and author(s) of your poster should appear at the top of the poster in bold lettering.
  4. All text and illustrations should be easy to read from a distance of 2 meters.
  5. Daily posters will have: a) to be posted according to their number; and b) to be removed by the end of the allocated time/day.
